You’ve probably seen the term “glass skin” everywhere.

But glass skin isn’t about shine.

It’s about clarity. Balance. Smooth texture. Skin that reflects light because it’s healthy.

The new, 5th Generation Korea Peel (Dactor Peel) has just arrived at Instaskin, and it’s designed exactly for that kind of result.

No harsh acids.

No visible peeling.

No downtime.

Just intelligent skin renewal.

So what actually is the Korea Peel?

Most traditional peels use acids like AHA, BHA or TCA. They work by dissolving the top layer of the skin. That can give results, but it often comes with redness, irritation or flaking.

This peel works differently.

It’s completely acid-free.

Instead of stripping the skin, it uses plant-based enzymes, probiotic ferments and exosome technology to gently refine the surface while supporting repair underneath.

You’re not forcing the skin to shed.

You’re encouraging it to renew.

That’s a big difference.

What does it do?

Before-and-after comparison of Dactor Peel treatment showing skin immediately after first session and after second session, with improved glow, smoother texture and more even skin tone over time.

Right after the treatment, your skin already looks smoother and clearer. The tone feels more

even, and there’s a fresh glow.

But what I really love about this peel is what happens after.

For the next 8–10 days, the active serum continues working beneath the surface. The regeneration process builds gradually. Texture refines further. The glow becomes more stable and natural.

It doesn’t peak on day one.

It keeps improving.

That’s why it feels different from classic peels.

Why is it called 5th generation?

Because it moves beyond the idea that skin renewal has to mean irritation.

Earlier generations focused mainly on exfoliation.

Remove. Strip. Resurface.

The new generation works differently.

Instead of forcing the skin into repair mode, it supports renewal while protecting the skin barrier. The skin stays balanced, hydrated and calm throughout the process.

The goal isn’t to strip the skin. The goal is to help it function better.

That’s why this treatment is often described as a 5th generation peel. It combines gentle resurfacing with skin-supporting ingredients like exosomes, antioxidants and barrier-strengthening actives.

The result is smoother texture, brighter tone and healthier looking skin — without the irritation or downtime associated with traditional peels.

Who is it suitable for?

This treatment works beautifully for:

• sensitive skin

• rosacea-prone skin

• acne and congestion

• pigmentation

• uneven texture

• early signs of aging

• barrier-compromised skin

It can be done year-round.

It’s also considered pregnancy-safe, although I always recommend checking with your doctor if you’re unsure.

Will my skin peel?

No.

You won’t experience visible flaking or sheets of peeling skin. The surface just feels smoother and more refined.

Most clients are surprised by how calm their skin looks afterwards.

Does it hurt?

Not at all.

There’s no burning sensation like with stronger acid peels. It’s comfortable throughout, and many clients find it surprisingly relaxing.

This technique requires my full attention, so I won’t talk as much as I usually do (if you know, you know 😉). That quiet part is completely intentional.

It’s actually the perfect moment to switch off, close your eyes and take a little nap.

How many sessions do I need?

You’ll notice glow after the first treatment.

If we’re targeting pigmentation, acne marks or deeper texture concerns, I usually recommend a course of four treatments spaced one week apart.

Consistency always wins over intensity.

Is it good before an event?

Yes! This is one of my favourite pre-event treatments.

Because there’s no downtime, you can comfortably do it 1–2 days before a wedding, photoshoot or trip and just enjoy the glow.

When should it not be done?

We avoid treatment if you have:

• active herpes or infection

• open wounds

• ongoing medical retinoid therapy

• very recent deep chemical peel

• very recent laser treatment

• active inflammatory autoimmune skin conditions

We always go through your skin history carefully before booking.

FAQ – Glass Skin & Korean Skincare

What is glass skin?

Glass skin describes skin that is smooth, even, hydrated and luminous. It’s not about heavy shine. It’s about clarity and balance.

How do you get Korean glass skin?

It’s not one product. It’s consistency, hydration, barrier support and controlled renewal. Treatments like the Korea Peel help accelerate that process safely.

Is Korean skincare better than Western skincare?

It’s not about better. It’s about philosophy. Korean skincare focuses heavily on prevention and barrier health rather than aggressive correction.

Is there really anything that works for wrinkles?

Yes. Collagen stimulation, inflammation control and sun protection make a real difference. But there is no miracle cream that replaces consistency.

What actually helps with pigmentation?

Sun protection and structured renewal. Harsh bleaching creams often weaken the skin and make things worse long-term.

Can I rub ice cubes on my face daily?

Cold can temporarily tighten the skin, but daily ice rubbing can irritate sensitive skin. Healthy glow comes from balance, not shock.

Is this a chemical peel?

No. It’s acid-free and works with enzymes and regenerative technology instead of traditional chemical acids.
